The new Apple iPhones — iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus — are almost here! And as per multiple media reports of the past few months the handsets will likely sport several new features. The noted KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, known for his track record on Apple devices, too has released a detailed report on the upcoming iPhones.
Though we would only know for sure what Apple has up its sleeves post the launch (starts 10:30pm IST), here are 6 ‘new’ features we are likely to see in the upcoming iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus smartphones based on all the rumours and predictions going around.
2/7Dual-speakers

The upcoming iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus are expected to feature dual speakers placed at the bottom of the handset. The speakers are expected to deliver richer sound and enhance the media-viewing experience. Also rumoured is the inclusion of an integrated amplifier for louder audio output.
3/73D touch 2.0 support

Besides better speakers, the Apple iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus are also said to feature 3D Touch 2.0 technology for better feedback and more functionality. In addition, the display would also receive ability to show wider colour gamut like we’ve seen with iPad models.
4/7Dual 12MP rear camera

The Apple iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus smartphones are also rumoured to sport two rear 12MP cameras that can record 4K resolution videos in 60 frames per second. To improve the camera experience, the handsets might feature four camera flash LEDs instead of two LEDs that are there in iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus models.
5/7No 3.5mm headphone jack

iPhone 7 models are also said to ditch the 3.5mm headphone jack and replace it with lightning connectors instead. This is likely to reduce the thickness of the handset by a few millimetres. The company is also expected to launch wireless Bluetooth-enabled earpods.
6/7Waterproofing

The new iPhones will be water-resistant. Both iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus will be water-proof with IPX7 rating. Same as that of Apple Watch, this means that the device can withstand immersion in water up to 1 meter (for some 30 minutes).
7/7Redesigned antenna lines

The iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus are likely to see slight changes in the looks due to a shift in the position of the antennas, which now will stick to the bezels of the device.
